He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Wilbur and Linnie Belle Shipley (Mathes); his wife Patricia "Patsy"; and his grandparents, Charles Elsa, Osa Mathes, Charley and Martha Shipley.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Starrett (Dana), Greg Shipley (Mitzi) of Unionville and Grant Shipley (Rachael Pflum) of Unionville; his grandchildren, Jake Shipley (Lauren), Chelsea Starrett (Logan Broich), Samantha Shipley (Kirk Hendershott), Ashley Starrett and Elizabeth Shipley; his great grandchildren, Arlo Boone and Hazel Belle Shipley; and his friend Sharon Steele.
