She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Fern and Coral Fern Atkins (Bruce); her daughter-in-law Gloria Elam; and her niece Joyce Green. She is survived by: her sons, Larry Fern Elam of Kirksville, MO and Roger Leon Elam of Unionville, MO.; her granddaughters, Leah Marie Duncan (Chris) and Tyla Dawn Elam; her great grandchild Christopher Duncan, Jr.; her sister Louise Shultz of Unionville; and also Melva. She is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
