He was predeceased by: his father Louis Strothkamp (Evelyn); his wife Judy Strothkamp; his mother Evelyn Strothkamp; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Eschenbrenner and Ronald Kerchoff.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Strothkamp (Leslie) of Union and Julie Stroup (Steve) of Dublin, OH; his grandsons, Michael Stroup (Jordan), Brandon Stroup, Justin Stroup and Nicholas Heibel; his great grandchild Henry Stroup; his sister Carolyn Babe Krieg (Glenn) of Lafayette, LA; his sister-in-law Diana Eschenbrenner of New Melle; and his nephews, Louis Kerchoff (Tonya), Scott Eschenbrenner, Todd Eschenbrenner and Jon Eschenbrenner. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immaculate Conception Church.
