He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Abney and Hilda Abney; his former wife Ruth Abney; his wife Judith Abney; and his sister Wanda Ballance (Wayne).
He is survived by: his children, Charlie Abney II (Trisha) of Charlotte, NC, Michelle Bowen of Union and Ronda LaShay of Norman, OK; his grandchildren, Nicole Bowen, Faith Bowen, Michael Zichler, Cody Zichler, Alesia Thun, Ashley Tucker (Jeff), Brian Jones (Caroline) and Monica Jimenez (David); his great grandchildren, Grayson Thun, Marshall Tucker, Patrick Tucker, Brooklyn Jones and Eleanor Jimenez; and his brother Gary Abney. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
