He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmidt and Helene Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Schmidt; his children, Eric Schmidt (Paula Manning), Julie Price (Stan) of Union and Jennifer Klenke (Don) of Union; his grandchildren, Harrison Schmidt, Jessica Dingley (Jeff), Tyler Price (Megan), Emma Klenke (Spencer Tyminski), Lydia Dace (Dakota) and Eli Klenke; his siblings, Frances Drews, Fred Schmidt of Hebron, NE and Marvin Schmidt (Helen); and his sister-in-law Claudine Schmidt. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
