She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Trail and Francis Trail (Murphy); her half-brother Walter Hornback; her children, Michael Brookshier (Kimberly), Christopher Brookshier (Wendy) and Michele Cave (Christopher); her grandchildren, Ryan Brookshier (Dylan Brookshier) and Many; her siblings, Patricia Heady and James Trail; her former husband Willard Brookshier; and her brother Jerry Trail.

Sharon also made monthly donations to the ASPCA.
