With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel L. Elston of Troy, Missouri, born in Lincoln, Missouri, who passed away on November 21, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Curtis and Sarah Emma Elston (Barnes); his wives, Bonnie Elston and Melba Elston; and his siblings, Kenneth "Bud" Elston and Vivian Himmel.

He is survived by: his daughters, Patti Briggs-Riffle (Phil) of Troy and Beverle Prior of Troy; his grandchildren, Kris Briggs (Kari), Scott Briggs (Sarah), Jason Elston (Lyndsi), Bonus, Randy, Phillip Rodney, Pamela, Page and Patrick Riffle; his niece Marlene Beemer; his nephews, Carl Himmel, Clayton Elston (Diane) and Vern Elston; and also, Kaily, Sami, Abbi, Payton, Ben, Kaden, Addison and Maddie.
