He was predeceased by: his parents, Mason Snider and Lou Ellen Snider; his spouse Glida Meryl Gaines; his siblings, Louis, Woodrow, Joseph, Robert Snider and Hazel Gamblin; his grandson John Stroder; and his son-in-law Jerry Stroder.
He is survived by: his children, Julius "Jay" Aaron Snider, Jr. (Jeannine) of Troy, Missouri and Kathryn Stroder of O'Fallon, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Stroder, Deana Stroder, Jaime Ridgway (Wes) and Travis Snider (Sara); and his granddaughter-in-law Susan Stroder. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the local Poplar Bluff food bank.
