She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Barnes and Ruby Barnes (Brown); her husband Howard Briggs; her stepson Jerry Briggs; her sister Flossie Mashek (Jerry); and her close friends, Louise Peterson and Maggie Green.

She is survived by: her stepson Terry Briggs (Vicki) of O'Fallon, MO; her children, Debb Briggs of Troy, MO, Diane Buerge (Kevin) of Garden City, MO and David Briggs (Angelia) of Troy, MO; her grandchildren, Adrienne, Jeremy, Kristopher, Scott, Trevor, Randi, Jessi, Butterskotch, Dustyn and Noah; her great grandchildren, Colton, Wyatt, Wynter, Lukas, Ryker, Kaily, Sami, Abbi and Peyton; and her close friend Mary Jane Gilbert. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
