He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Long Sr. and Genevieve Long (Lefman); his son Steve Long; and his brothers, Fred Long and Bob Long.
He is survived by: his wife Susie Long (Helliker) of Higginsville; his children, Jim Long of Triplett, MO and Debbie Long of Higginsville; and his grandchildren, Colby Long (Lacey), Cabot Long (Jennifer), Ben Long and Katie Cook. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
