He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine Ann Matthies; his wife Gerry Ruud; his children, Deborah Ruud, Ruth Chabane (Steve), Mark Ruud (Nancy), Becky Beach (Dan) and Paul Ruud (Jan); his grandchildren, Liza, Kahthrina, Lindsey, Jacob and Jacy; and his great grandchildren, Grant, Luke, Lana, Evalena and Adelais. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
