He was predeceased by: his parents, Voyd William and Lottie Mae Kerns Ellis; his sons, Billy Ray Ellis and Timothy James Ellis; and his siblings, Ruth May, Kathleen Ellis, Ina Lee Tolle and Ray Ellis.
He is survived by: his brother Charles Ellis.
