He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Roberts and Opal Griffin Roberts; and his son Ronnie Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Rentfrow Whitaker; his children, Kenny Roberts (Andrea) and Brenda Smith; his daughter-in-law Martha Roberts; his stepson David Whitaker (Kari) of Trenton, Missouri.; his sisters, Joetha Harris and Karen Brandstetter (Karl); and his grandchildren, Tosha Roberts (Boo), Christopher Smith, Jeffry Smith (Jesse), Tia Griffin, Tara Hoffman (Eric), Tenna Mack (Thomas), Avery Bailey (Jason), Ashten McCarter (Kail) and Lexi Whitaker. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to First Christian Church and left or mailed to Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton.
