He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Simpson and Ada Cleo Simpson (Lankford); his daughter Patty Bunnell; and his siblings, Virgil Simpson, Bill Simpson, Marvin Simpson, Donna Stoll, Fred Volzke and Ann Sheffield.
He is survived by: his spouse Marilyn J. Roberts; his sons, David Simpson (Cindy) of Trenton, Fred Simpson (Glenda) of Trenton and Ron Simpson (Gayle) of Wheeling; and his grandchildren, Eric, Aaron Bunnell, Andrea Kepner, Katie Fenimore, Jason, Jonathan Simpson, Amanda Vandevender, Crystal Stretch and Ashley Allnutt.
Memorial donations are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
