In loving memory of Opal G. Swopes of Trenton, Missouri, born in Galt, Missouri, who departed this world on November 13, 2024 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Persell and Clara Stottlemyre Persell; her husband Donald Swopes; and her siblings, Olive Sheppard, Kay Reid, Becky Sparks and Jerry Conners.
She is survived by: her children, Zora Dupre, James Bert Swopes (Lynda) and Bill Swopes; her sister Lola Jo Wise; and her grandchildren, Jim Stiner, Terressa Stiner and Tammy Taylor. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (310 N Hwy 65, Trenton, MO 64683). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials to Family and Friends of the Developmentally Disabled for Recreational Activities and may be left with the mortuary.
