With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Conklin Chaffee of Trenton, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 1, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sr. Chaffee and Helen Chaffee (Cordray); his sisters, Iris Jacobs and Virginia Jacobs; and his in-laws, Wilbur and Josephine Shockey.
He is survived by: his wife Judi Chaffee; his daughter Katie Chaffee of Liberty, MO; his sister Nora Brouhard of Kirksville, MO; his grandsons, Chanse Houghton (Faith) of Reeds Spring, MO and Creed Houghton (Ally) of Trenton, MO; and his great grandchildren, Pepper Houghton and Claire Houghton.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are suggested to the St Lukes Hospice or the Green Hills Animal Shelter.
