He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Edward and Sarah Louise Thorne (McCoy); his siblings, Frank, William, Richard "Butch" Thorne and Virginia Etter; and his grandson Brice McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Tyra; his sons, Steve Thorne (Alta) of Trenton and Curt Thorne (Brenda) of Trenton; his stepchildren, Becky Chumbley (Scott) of Rogersville, MO, Beth McDaniel (Brian) of Kansas City, MO and Jeni Hoyt of Trenton; his sisters, Carolyn McFarland and Joyce Polo; and his grandchildren, Natalie Brunner, Heidi Thorne, Brandy Maynard, Dereck Thorne, Ben McDaniel, Brady McDaniel, Emma Hoyt-Lowrey, Sam Gibson and Lauryn Chumbley. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to Three Rivers Hospice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
