He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daniels and Floy Daniels (Thompson); and his brothers, Narlon Daniels, Arlon Daniels and Jim Daniels.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Hixon; his children, Connemara Tolson (Donald) of Front Royal, Alicia Tiney of Trenton, Missouri and Donald Tiney (Diane) of Chino Hills, California; and his sisters, Joan Ponder (Clifford) of South Carolina and Linda Compton of South Carolina. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
