He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Maupins and Millie Maupins (Massengill); his siblings, Jakie Maupins, Vivian Dorsey, Eldon Garmello and Bobby Ray; his son Kevin Ballard; and his granddaughter Patricia Ballard.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ballard; his daughters, Shelly Ballard (Kirk Greaves) of Plattsburg and Kelly Hamilton (Ronnie) of Trenton; and his siblings, Dean Maupins (Dee) of Jackson, TN and Anita Hayes (Vernon) of Caldwell, KS. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
