She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bestgen and Adelia Bestgen (Dueber); her husband Fred Leo Franken; her son Guy Franken; her son-in-law Don Schmidt; and her siblings, Leo Bestgen, Dorothy Klein, Andy Bestgen and George Bestgen, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Pam Schmidt of Tipton, Jackie Steenbergen (Glen) of Russellville, Fred Franken (Carol) of Springfield, Gail Cartee (Dan) of Russellville and Elaine Higgins (Dennis) of Clarksburg. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
