He is survived by: his children, Bob Thies of Tucson, AZ, Flora Emmerich of Glasgow, Jim Thies (Paula) of Boonville and Dale Thies of Olathe, KS; and his brother Hank Thies of Glasgow. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
