He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Edward and Geraldine Lawson (McDaniel); his siblings, Bob Lawson and Audean Watson; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Johnson and Darrel Watson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Teubner (James), Ashley Lawson (Chris Swindell) and Mackenzie Lawson; his grandchildren, Hannah, Payton, Faith, Grace and Wiley; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Charleigh and Joseigh; his sister Jeanette Johnson; his sister-in-law Bulah Lawson; his aunt Virginia; and his uncle Rick Pugh. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
