With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Smith of Theodosia, Missouri, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Smith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Smith (Staley) and John Smith; and his granddaughter Adriana Meal. He is survived by: his wife Dorothea; his children, Tracy (Tim Meal) and Shawn (Kristy Martiny); his grandson Jake Meal; and his siblings, Pamela (Jay Smith), Terry, Jan (John Fiermuga) and Charles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.

He was a creature of habit and followed a daily routine, when COVID hit and he could no longer sit in the Bullseye in the morning he would drive to town and sit in his car in the parking lot with his coffee while listening to the radio each morning, greeting others as they went in and out of the store.
