He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Best and Helen Best; his grandson Tyler Owen Simer; his siblings, Theresa Cortner and Paul Best; and his brother-in-law Bill Hass.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Hackett; his daughters, Margaret Jane Simer (Danny) and Suzanne Elizabeth Langley (Greg); his grandchildren, Jessica Nichole Smith (Jonathan) and Samuel Alan Simer (Annalise); his great grandchildren, Bayleigh Addison McGuire, Ethan Daniel Simer, Jenner Keith Smith, Jemma Katherine Smith, Jude Kensington Smith and Lloyd Stephen Simer; his siblings, Herbert Best (Gloria), Mary Best, Leon Best (Dora), Helen Jeanne Hass, Pat Saenger (Leo) and Margaret Unze (Wayne); and his sisters-in-law, Jane Romines (Ken) and Pat Best.
In lieu of flowers, please honor his life with a donation to "Best Foot Forward" where funds will be used to purchase shoes for the children in our area who need them.
