It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Lawrence Hicks Sr. of Thayer, Missouri, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Hicks and Evelyn Hicks (Golf); and his siblings, James Carelton and Maxine Huckabee. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jo Hicks; his children, Jimmie Lawrence Hicks, Jr. (Brianna), Tina Douglas, Michelle Ladon Bateman (Wesley) and Victoria Diane Burke; his grandchildren, Dustin Lawrence Hicks (Autumn), Sawyer Fox, Ryder, Nikki Hicks, Krystle O'Hara (Doug), Bradley Douglas (Darian), Rylan Combs, Addy Combs, Amber Lancaster, Deric Bateman and Sarah; and his sisters, Diane McCradic and Linda Newboles. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
