She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie Hays and Eunice Martin Hays; her husband Willard Thomas Barton; her daughter Patricia Barton Burgess; her stepmother Lavern Hays; and her siblings, Raymond Hays and Irl Hays Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Geneva Smith (David) and Loren Barton (Shelly); her grandchildren, Michelle Smith Bates, Kevin Smith, Matthew Barton and Faith Barton House; and her sisters, Betty Hays Hendrix (Bill) and Reva Hays Baker (Sherman). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cave Springs Cemetery of Alton, Missouri (1056 RR 71, Alton, MO 65606).
