She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Coats and Louise Coats (Grooms); her brother-in-law Jack Flynn; her niece Julie Noakes; and her nephews, Steve Case and Tim King.
She is survived by: her husband James Clyde Grooms; her children, James Clinton Grooms (Terri) of Marshfield, MO and Elizabeth "Colleen" Snethern (Melvin) of Couch, MO; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Baxter (Floyd) of Myrtle, MO, William Snethern (Ruby) and Emily Jo Grooms; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Baxter, Zilynn Snethern, Kaleigh Baxter and Zinlee Snethern; her siblings, Warren Coats (Hasteltine) of Mammoth Spring, AR, Roy Coats (Roberta), Lois Huddleston, Janie Flynn, Mammoth Spring and Nora Coats; and her sisters-in-law, Kay Case (J. L.) and Ella Goans (Frank).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the OMC – Cancer Treatment Center in West Plains, Missouri.
