He was predeceased by: his father Cody Lawson; and his sister Margaret Turner. He is survived by: his wife Patsy McClure-Lawson; his children, Debbie Kinder, Dwight Lawson and Billy Lawson; his siblings, Jerry "Slick" Lawson (Judy) and Margie Van Wambeke (Dick); and his stepson Loyd McClure (Lorie). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of great friends.
