She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Martin Prater and Elsie Minnie Prater (Douglas); her spouse Emmit Lay; her siblings, Bill Prater, Beulah, Eula, Freda, Ola, Doshia and Bonnie; and her grandchild J. J. Michaelis.
She is survived by: her children, David Lay of Bunker, Yawny Hodge of Bunker, Susan Johnson (Dave) of Tebbetts, Carol Stricklin (Joey) of Bunker and Liz Charis of Grand Junction; and her sister Ruth Fulhorst of Linn Creek. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
