She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Samuel Hicks Jr. and Grace Alphonsus Springer Hicks; her husband Joe; and her sisters, Virginia Houchin and Donna Koellner.
She is survived by: her children, Jo Mabry (Paul) of Quincy, IL, Jacqueline Tiemann (Rodney) of Philadelphia, MO, Jeffrey Gottman (Tammy) of Foley, AL, Jill Dennis (Matthew) of Broomall, PA and Jay Gottman (Stacy) of Maywood, MO; her grandchildren, Grace Mabry, Hailey Chatfield (JJ), Brace Tiemann (Isabelle), Jack Dennis, Josephine Dennis, Tanner Tiemann and Tessa Tiemann; her great grandchildren, Finn Hudelson, Jaden Chatfield and Hadlee Chatfield; and her sisters, Mary Verscheure of Cambridge, IL and Carol Hicks of Rock Island, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (120 S Spring St, Palmyra, MO 63461). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
