With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Norma Grindstaff of Tarkio, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Norma left this world on January 8, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Estel and Cecilia Irene Leeper (Arney); her husband Art; her brother James L. Leeper; her stepson Dennis Grindstaff; and her great grandchild Noah Auwarter.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Palmer (Fairfax), Della VanHoozer (Tarkio) and Jeannie Campbell (Trenton); her daughter-in-law Loree Grindstaff (WA); and her grandchildren, Amanda (Archie), Agnew (Fairfax), Josh Campbell of Akron, OH, Matt (Erica), Auwarter (Fairfax), Zack Campbell (Trenton), Ashley (Shaun) and McAlister (Independence). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 4 nieces/nephews, and 38 great (++) nieces/nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Edinburg Baptist Church (530 NW Church St, Trenton, MO 64683). Blindness didn't set her back; she beat ovarian cancer in 2001, COVID twice, and barely grimaced through her heart attack in 2020.
