He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Ralph and Norma Hicks (Miller); his family Tarkio; his sister Elizabeth Ann; his brother-in-law Wendell Rolf; his wife Earlene Hicks; his children, Larry Dean Hicks (Diane), Pamela Lynn Hicks and Susan Renee Pointer (Tim); his grandchildren, Leasa Collins (Tyson), Lindsey Dehn (Matt), Jade Jenkins and Tyler Jenkins (Breann Hendrickson); his great grandchildren, Tylea Shea, Tregn Shane and Haven Grace; and his siblings, Lyal Hicks (Shirley) and Joyce Rolf. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
