He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Combs and Gladys Combs (Maggard); and his grandson Edward Hillhouse. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Combs; and his children, Larry Combs and Sherry Compton (Benny). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.
