She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Summers and Berniece Summers (Potter); her husband Robert Shafer; her stepson Frank Shafer; her grandson Nathan Brooks; and her siblings, Celeste Summers, Oakley Summers and Don Summers.
She is survived by: her children, Dewey Brooks (Janine) of Taneyville, Missouri, Mark Todd, Bonnie Mahoney (Mike) and Susan Canady (Wes); and her brother Craig Summers. She is also survived by brother, Bard Summers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
