He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruno Tschannen and Ida Tschannen (Beuchel); his wife Betty Tschannen; and his sons, James and Stephen Tschannen.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Chelist (Bruce); his grandchildren, Christine Peer (Matt), Daniel Moellering (Chelsey), Stacey Moellering (Steve Giesbrecht), James H. Tschannen III and Maria Jones (Jairo); and his great grandchildren, Taylor Peer, Nolan Moellering, Lucas Flaherty and Wesley Giesbrecht. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
