We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Vivian May Thornsberry of Sumner, Missouri, born in Mendon, Missouri. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frederick and Elsie May Steinbeck (McPherson); her husband Floyd "Pevis" Thornsberry; her siblings, Frank, John, Ed, Joe, Edith, Betty Steinbeck, Ruth Garr and Verna Duvall; and her sons-in-law, Larry Watts and Steve Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Watts of Brunswick, Larry Thornsberry (Lois) of Lee's Summit and Linda Lewis of Gretna, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Terry Watts (Carla) of Sumner, Tonya Dallas (John) of Blue Springs, Jeff Thornsberry (Gretchen) of Maryville, Chris Thornsberry (Melissa) of Pleasant Hill, Andy Lewis (Darci) of Crestwood, Matt Lewis of Gretna and Missy Schere (George) of Waverly, Nebraska; her sister Erma McAllister of Mendon; and her sister-in-law Ruth Daugherity of Chillicothe. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Due to Covid-19 and the rising numbers of illness in our area, the family request that you please wear a mask and properly social distance when attending services.
