He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Lee and Maries Maxine Diehl (Zorn); and his brother-in-law Russell Grant. He is survived by: his wife Diana Diehl; his son Justin Diehl of Sumner; his mother-in-law Betty Chowning of Brookfield; his grandsons, Clayton and Bryson Gregory; his siblings, Jim Diehl (Connie) of Overland Park, KS, Pam Monteleone (Jim) of Liberty, Karen Lesmeister of Butler and Connie Ponting (Terry) of Sumner; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Grant of Columbia, Bobby Dean Chowning of Brookfield, Ronald Bruce Chowning (Patsy) of Marceline and James Everett Chowning of Memphis, MO; his daughter Jessica Maries Diehl; his father-in-law Robert Dawson Chowning; his half-sister Virginia Judas; and his brothers-in-law, Delbert Greer and Harold Lesmeister. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
