He was predeceased by: his father Artis Lee Gale; his siblings, Benji, Jolene and Velma; his grandmother Virgie Belback; his brothers-in-law, Walt Ingle, Ron Harderster, Doug Turner and Jessie James; and his nephew Lee Ingle.
He is survived by: his mother Judy Fay Gale (Belback); his children, Little Matt, Amelia and Emma; his siblings, Sarah (Randall), Christine Karnes (Dean), Rosie Ingle, Sharon James, Donetta (Frank), Dorothy Bates (Kenneth), Sam (Judy), Tommy Ray and Mike (Billye); and his sister-in-law Maybelle.
