He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Herbst and Dorothy Herbst (Gideon); his nephew Braden May; his brother David Herbst; and his friend Tom Hampton.
He is survived by: his children, Gus (Gabby Herbst), Harley (Victoria Nash), Brent (Brooke Cooper), Morgan (Matt Barton), Dylan Hampton and Leslie (Aaron Smith); his grandchildren, Willow, Natalie, Arya, Chase, Chesley, Kyleigh, Karson, Hayley and Aariona; and his siblings, Susan Miller, Dan Herbst and Rick Herbst. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
