The memory of Dennis Gene Newby of Summersville, Missouri, born in Prineville, Oregon, who passed away on October 12, 2024 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel Newby and Berniece Newby (Lewis); his wife Cathy Newby of Newby's Auction Service; his fathers-in-law, Clyde and Billy Cook; his brother Leonard Newby; his brother-in-law Randy Kirkman; his granddaughter Caylyn Renae Newby; and his niece Janie Newby.

He is survived by: his children, Heather Hill (Matt) of Fayetteville, TN and Heath Newby (Amanda Jo) of Summersville, MO; his grandchildren, Wyatt Woolsey (Kelsey), Waylon Woolsey (Haylee), Cole Newby (MaKysha), Justin Hill (Allison) and Anna Hill; his great grandchildren, Maggie Woolsey, Kyntleigh, Kaisley Karr and Duncan Woolsey; his friend Carletta Abbey; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Newby, Linda Kirkman, Judy Barton (Wilbert) and Keith Cook (Carolyn); his nieces and nephews, Linny Newby (Chandra), Jon Kirkman (Rebecca), Scott Kirkman (Randie Kay), Matthew Cook, Jared Cook (Katie), Holly Abbey and Nicole Brawley (Nathan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor York (Jacob), Alexa Crane (Nathan), Zoe Abbey, Sarah Iott (Tristian), Katie Newby, Karen Kirkman, Kassi Kirkman, Preston, Jace, Kaden, Eli and Maverick Brawley; his aunts and uncles, Howard Smith, Fred Rubert, Evelyn Tyler and Linda Lewis; and also, Nora Cook, Raylee, Nora Crane, Hadleigh York and Lily Iott. He is also survived by cousins, other family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis' memory may be made to the Valley Center Cemetery or Summersville Senior Center.
