He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Whitley and Ida Whitley; his brothers, Robert Whitley and Darrin Whitley; and his former wife Judy Nixon.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lonnie Whitley (Heather Garbs) of Sullivan, Randy Whitley of Fulton, Wanda Whitley of St. Clair, Bernadine Morrison of New Haven, Ida Marie Webber (Robert) of Villa Ridge and Anita Whitley of St. Clair; and his close friend Regina Whitley. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association.
