She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Koenig and Lydia Koenig (Gibson); her former husband Marvin Shafferkoetter; her daughter Marla Williams; and her siblings, James Koenig and Gloria Koenig.

She is survived by: her daughter Marsha Thompson (Tom) of Sullivan, MO; her grandsons, Christopher Williams of St. Louis, MO, Max Thompson of Springfield, MO and Sam Thompson (Christine) of Sullivan, MO; and her great grandchildren, Bella Jean Williams and Chrishia Khaye Thompson.
