She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Sumners and Catherine Sumners (Waterfield); her former husband Howard Gargus; her husband Ron McFarland (Red); her granddaughter Taryn Betz; and also, Herschel and Catherine Sumners.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Howard (Lee) of Springfield, Robin Betz (Chuck) of Saint Clair, Jaimie Kleekamp (Greg) of Washington and Melissa Sheehan (Dan) of Saint Charles, Missouri; her grandchildren, Miranda Flerlage (Matt), Anthony Howard (Elizabeth), Brandi Howard, Jordan Betz (Alyssa), Jazmyn Tuescher (Jonathan), Liam Usery, Madison Kleekamp, Abigail Kleekamp, Audri Hagedorn (Brenden), Bryanna, River, Chris Sheehan and Jenifer Gargus; and her friend Carolyn DeBrecht of Sullivan, Missouri. She is also survived by 7 great – grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
