He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stack and Lillian Stack (Blankenship); and his brother Bill Stack. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Stack (Delashmett) of Sullivan; his sons, Jeff Stack (Donna) of Memphis, Steve Stack (Lisa) of Webster Groves and Eric Stack (Lisa) of Warrenton; his grandchildren, Brittany Stack of Johnston City, Samantha Stack of Memphis, Delaney Stack of Charleston, Jack Meyer of St. Louis, Chad Cain of Warrenton, Lute Cain (Liz) and Hobie Brown of Sullivan; his great grandchild Gunnar Cain of Washington; and his siblings, Paul Stack (Pam) of Sullivan, Doyle Stack (Mary Beth) of Stanton, Gerry Brooks (Sam) of Hillsboro and Jerine Farrell of Sullivan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
