He is survived by: his former wife Pearl Elizabeth Shephard; his spouse Marcene Immel; his children, Roma Joe Abel (Pat), Connie Louise Mesger (Jeff) of Sullivan, Sherri Lynn Sutton (Jeff) of Van Buren and Richard Glen Abel (Amy) of Sullivan; his grandchildren, Christopher Abel of Tacoma, WA, Jason Mesger (Renee) of Sullivan, Josh Mesger (Jen) of St. Clair, Jessica Morgan (James) of Van Buren, MO, Jeanna Winchester (Richard) of Owensville, MO and Jennifer Abel of San Marcos, TX.; his great grandchildren, Anthony, Cloe, Makayla, Jalynn, Jocelyn, Jada, Jillian, Dexter, Julian and Atlas; his brother Walter Abel (Sandy) of Sullivan; and his parents-in-law, Mary Lou Abel of St. Charles, MO, Kim Brown of Carmichael, CA, Irene Keller (Augie) of Plano, TX, George Immel (Laura) of Rainier, WA and Jean Green (Bill) of Belgrade, MT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
