He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmidtke and Lois Schmidtke (Schreiber); and his siblings, Dale Schmidtke and Virginia Schmidtke. He is survived by: his former wife June Paneitz (Landwehr); his daughter June; his wife June Schmidtke (Landwehr); his children, Randy Paneitz (Kelly) of Sullivan, MO, Scott Schafer (Robin) of Rockford, IA, Candy Key (Blake) of Sullivan, Kim Rogers (Mike) of Leslie, MO and Julie Begeman (Craig) of Charles City, IA; his siblings, Roy Schmidtke (Laura) of Bourbon, MO, David Schmidtke, Evelyn of Sullivan and Carol of Texas; and his grandchildren, Dane, Mitch, Holly, Chelsey, Jason, Ryan, Mamie, Michael, Jennifer, Jessi, Lindsey and Lauren. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
