Darlene left this world on December 30, 2024 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Bendickson and Delores Bendickson (Funseth); and her siblings, Vern Bendickson and Jackie Bendickson. She is survived by: her husband Terry Sandstrom of Sullivan, Missouri; her children, Tedd Sandstrom (Leondra) of Durham, Tadd Sandstrom (Rita) of Saint Joseph and Terienne Dortman (Robert) of Visalia, CA; her grandchildren, Teondra Aycox (Tyler), Sabryn Sandstrom, Christian Sandstrom, Shayla Silvers (Craig), Brienne Dortman, Anna Dortman, Stephanie Sage (Jared), Lisa Andres (Tristan) and Dylan Sandstrom; her great grandchildren, Hazel, Khyler, Katie, Weston, Josey, Alaina and Elizabeth; her siblings, Lloyd Bendickson (Liz) of Visalia, CA and Carol Tilberg (Gary) of Badger, MN; and her sister-in-law Sharon Mann (Jim) of Saint George, UT. She is also survived by numerous foster children, foreign exchange students, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home (347 N Clark St, Sullivan, MO 63080). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
