He was predeceased by: his parents, Morning S. Collins and Lazetta Collins; his wife Virginia Collins; his son Richard Collins; and his brother Morning Eugene Collins.

He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Haase (Robert) of Lebanon, MO. He is also survived by six grandchildren, by many great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
