She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Benedict Sr. and Karen K. Koger; her daughter Amanda Mills of Grain Valley; and her granddaughter Kearsten. She is survived by: her children, Nichole Mills (Joshua) of Bates City, Twins Jeremiah Mills of Independence, Erin Payne of Kansas City, David Gates of Independence, Michael Gates of Independence and Katie Gates of Independence; her grandchildren, Skyler, Sahrinity, Sylis, Casey, Angelnicole, Logan, Isaiah, Jennilee, Brooklyn and Parker; her great grandchildren, Rowan and Janiya; and her siblings, Libby Lane, Jennifer Brooks, Barbey Benedict, Shelly Vaughn, Jeffery Benedict, Buddy Benedict, Andy Benedict, Michael Wolfe and Billy Clifton.
