He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lafal and Marguarite Lafal (Mansfield). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Rick M. Lafal of Grain Valley, MO and Dennis E. Lafal (Becky) of Blue Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Michael, Jackie, Lindsey, Curtis, Jared (Lydia) and Brett; his great grandchildren, Damein and Terriny; his brother George Lafal; and his brothers-in-law, George Detel and Victor Detel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
